Originally from North Wales, UK I now live in the heart of Amsterdam with my partner Ged and my imaginary pet beagle, Basil (until I convince the boyfriend to get a real one!).
I love all things creative and apparently I'm okay at baking too (says Ged). Most weekends you'll find me wandering around photography galleries, at flea markets hunting out vintage sequin tops and old film cameras or curled up on the sofa with a glass of wine watching 'Don't Tell The Bride'!
I started taking family portraits in 1998 at the young and enthusiastic age of 18. With the impetus to further my career and include more commercial and editorial work, I packed up and moved seven hours away from North Wales (much to the dismay of my mum) to Cornwall. It was here I gained a 2.1 BA (Hons) in Photography and stayed an extra six years realising that I won't actually ever be able to surf!
After leaving Cornwall, working in two of the top photographic studios in the UK, I decided that it was about time I went it alone. Swapping Cornish pasties for Bitterballen (actually Kaastengels- I'm a veggie!) Amsterdam is a beautiful city to call home and I feel very lucky and continuously inspired by the Dutch way of life.
Living in De Pijp is great. It's full of young start-ups and colourful characters that give this area a village feel. I'm still only a new creative on the block here, so if you have a brief, an idea for a collaboration or if you just fancy going for a latte then get in touch!
